Reception of Aim + Joe

Been a while since I updated this blog. ..Today , managed to find the time between the crazy schedules and so happen at the same time , i have what I need to do the updating ... Aim + Joe reception took place in Linggi ..a place between Seremban and Port Dickson ..this time around , i decided to just stick with one lens , a prime lens 85mm 1.8 ..as they were 2 other Shuttercraft photographers to support ..as for the post production , i'm trying a fresh look ..with the colors little more vibrant ..just to see how things would turn out ..

The Solemnization of Syakir + Fara

270609 ..My assignment was to capture the solemnization of Syakir or more known as Aki and Fara . The event took place in Dewan Felda at Jalan Semarak ...one of the request by the bride was to have a slide show presentation of their solemnization during the reception which took place on 280609 in Dewan Merak Kayangan ...
During the shooting , I came up with this though of why not combining video and still photo for the slide presentation ..lucky that we have cameras that have capability to capture HD video as well .... Once the whole ceremony was over , we rushed back to Seremban ..browse through all the photos that the videos that we have taken ...and worked for the video presentation..It was a late nite and early morning work..by about 11am everything were ready and we have a final disc in our hand ready for show ..... here is the video ..

The PreWedding of Syakir + Fara

Prewedding photoshoot of Aki and Fara wasnt part of the proposed package ..however , since I was in the mood of shooting , I proposed to Fara , how about we set a date for a prewedding photoshoot..and both Fara and Aki agreed . We had some discussion of where to do it , what to where etc etc ...the initial date that we agreed upon couldnot worked out due to other commitment that came up ..so we decided to do it the following week and this time , we said no matter what this prewedding shoot would take place... When the day came , the weather wasnt too friendly to us...heavy downpour just about one hour we started shooting ..then when we got to the beach , sea water level raised earlier than what we expected ..there were no clouds , no sunshine ...beach and sky were white and flat ........hmmm..tough day . However , both Aki and Fara were really great couple to work with ..their spirit were high and they did everything that we told them to.. by the time we done , it was 8 pm ...and here is what we showed to the guest during the reception on 28062009 nite..

JUITA + AFIDZ

070609.. The day after the session in Klang , I got another assignment to shoot at Majlis Perbandaran Seremban . After having such a fun the day before , I was really in the mood for shooting .. in the morning , bride and groom asked me where will the outdoor photography be ..i told them i havent decided on any place yet ...which is the truth ..towards the evening , i decided to work around the lake garden of Seremban ...however , i told them it wont be the typical location that others wud shoot... it came to the decision whether I'm dare enough and the couple would be willing to or not ...well , for the sake of differention and satisfaction ..we decided to go ahead ...the place was kind of a deserted structure ...

Next was to look for a jambatan gantung somewhere at the Lake Garden ... i kind of know the whereabout but didnt know the exact location ..luckily a fren of mine , ShahZainal was kind enuff to be the tourist guide ..there were few other taggers on that day ..HafizAlly and Iss from Shah Alam , Bob and Shah from Seremban ...thanks guys for making that evening such a fun evening and thanks to Juita and Hafiz for being such a sport ...

SYED NASIR + ASRA

060609 , I got an assignment thru groom's sister to capture her younger brother wedding in Kapar , Klang . Not familiar much with the area , my partner , Rahman & I were kind of wondering where wud be the best place to do an outdoor photography after the solemnization . So , while the rest were enjoying their meal , we took a drive with a relative of the bride ..honestly , a very cheerful , helpful guy ..he thinks he is a clone of Anuar Zain ..well , we leave that subject aside....

We found this nice fisherman point that leading to a sea ...with all the boats parked at the jetty ,..the thought came to our mind ..why dont we take photos with the couple on the boat ...we spoke to the boat caretaker ..we need two boats ..one for us and one for the bride and the groom ..we paid fifty bucks for that but we think its damn worth it ...

MAJLIS NIKAH HAZIAN & AMAN : A BROWNISH SERIES....

This time around , I was so lucky to work with a bride with 'tak kisah ' attitude ..any proposal that i put forward for photography she would say ..ikut je ...so i decided to go a bit beyond the norm ..pushing the photography style slightly out of the 'standard practices'...some frens call me crazy to bring along the 'kerusi jati ' to a site for an outdoor photography ..but what the heck ..worth the effort ..thanks to Rahman who has there to help me as well as bringing in his 4 x 4 truck for transportation ... When the nite came for the 'persalinan shot ' ..i decided to take the shot in the street of Seremban ...its abt midnite ..quite scary though since they could be unwanted strangers that could pose some kind of danger...i be responsinble for the bride safety ...as well as making sure that no one steal my gear ...especially when we were shooting at one of the back alley ......all and all , i could say that i'm happy with the outcome... this time around for the post processing , i decided just to create a series of brownish tone photos...so here they are ...........

PREPARATION FOR MAJLIS SANDING - BLACK & WHITE SERIES

After been playing with different color tone , color variation ... today i decided to just work on black and white photos ...these are photos of a bride being prepared for a majlis sanding ... the majlis took place at Kg Sungai Layang , Sri Menanti on May 2, 2009 . The majlis was pretty simple as the bride and groom had gone thru Majlis Nikah couple of months back .. I got the assignment just two days before the event after i got a called from the bride's sister whom I know pretty well... actually her sister married to my ex-housemate . I was the introducer...............long story .

Majlis nikah and bersanding of this couple scheduled to be on the 12 & 13 of June respectively ...as part of the package for hiring us the photography of their special day , another partner of mine , Rahman @ Man Adol has generously given a free domain for them to create their own site ..and a their site was created called ..Sheezamaniz.com
What to do with the site ?...of course would be to load all their wedding photos as a start ... Man suggested to do some pre-wedding shots even though this wasnt part of the package ..well since our schedule of May 9th is free ...why not then ...
We came up with a concept ..sadly , that concept could not be worked out due to last minute ' unavailability of what we need' ...
and the morning sun didnt turn out the wat that we would have wished it to be ... morning was gloomy as if its going to be raining ...there wasnt much lite ..we worked things out based on what we could ..and here are some of the outcome ...
Also thanks to ezam for buying us the breakfast that morning ....

WORKING ON DESIRED COLOR TONE

My effort in trying to find that desired color tone continues...every hours available will be spent to work on that....this is the outcome on one of the work ..still not satisfying as i didnt get what i was hoping for ...

MALAM BERINAI OF HUSNA

Venue : Taman Paroi Jaya , Seremban

Malam berinai is still being heavily practiced in some States and Negeri Sembilan is one of those States . Part of the majlis is where the bride would be wearing different type of traditional attire such as Japanese , Koreans , Javanese , Indian and Chinese . Typical shots has been potraiture shot with a backdrop or on the pelamin itself. This is an attempt to do away with that........
